SHUTTLE CHANGES FOR AMERICAN AND DELTA
American Airlines will discontinue service in the Shuttle market between New York's LaGuardia Airport and Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. effective November 3, 2008.
Delta Air Lines will offer its Shuttle customers the option of traveling in First or Economy class beginning December 1, 2008 as the airline reconfigures its MD-88 Shuttle fleet to offer two classes of service. In the new configuration, Delta Shuttle will offer 14 seats in First Class and 128 seats in Economy with the airline's popular open-seating policy remaining in place for each class of service.
Delta Shuttle offers 30 flights daily between New York's LaGuardia Airport and Boston's Logan Airport, and 30 flights daily between LaGuardia and Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C.
CLEAR PROGRAM COMES TO BOSTON

In conjunction with Delta Air Lines, Clear launched its Registered Traveler program at Boston Logan International Airport on October 14. Logan is the 21st airport to host its expedited security screening lanes.
On Wednesday, October 15, Clear will begin charging members $199 for an annual membership, up from $128.
The program promises a faster pass through airport security for members who submit to a background check and pay the annual charge. Verified Identity Pass' Clear, which launched at a cost of $99.95, upped annual memberships to $128 to include a $28 Transportation Security Administration vetting fee. Now, the annual cost to join is $199, though a Clear spokesperson said existing members "get a break" at $159 to renew. The company this week also plans to introduce a 10-year membership option for $1,200.
In June, Delta became the only legacy carrier to sponsor Registered Traveler lanes through an agreement with Clear to launch the program at its terminals in New York's John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia airports and Los Angeles International Airport.
